Little Britain star launches big reading campaign

Little Britain star and best-selling children’s author David Walliams paid a visit to Charles Dickens School last week as he helped launch a new literacy campaign.

Together with Education Secretary Nicky Morgan, the Britain’s Got Talent host read from kids classic ‘The BFG’ by Roald Dahl and from his own book ‘Gangsta Granny’ on September 24.

He said: “At the heart of this campaign is a very simple shared ambition – to get more children reading.

“Few things can compete with the joy of getting stuck into a good book and I believe that is something no child should miss out on.”
