GALLERY: Walworth’s Got Talent!

A packed church had everyone dancing in the aisles on Wednesday night last week, as Walworth proved it’s got talent.

In its fifth year the Walworth’s Got Talent competition saw more than 30 performers give it their all in front of a panel of judges.

Four girls from St Peter’s CofE Primary School won first prize for their singing and dancing routine and will now be supported to get some real experience of the arts industries in the coming year.

A thirteen-member dance-troupe bagged second place and Christopher Nyuma came in third for his dance and mime show. Two special commendations were given out – one to four-year-old singer, Jayda Osarieman and the other to budding violinist Joy Moughtin-Mumby, 7.

Father Andrew Moughtin-Mumby Rector of St Peter’s Church said: “Everyone had a great time, and even people who came just to watch ended up dancing in the pews and in the aisles.”
