City of London Academy Southwark passes A Levels with flying colours

Students at City of London Academy Southwark are celebrating a whopping 99 per cent A Level pass rate, writes Jessica Aszkenasy…

In total, 72 per cent of the school’s sixth formers received grades ranging from A* to C.

Executive principal, Richard Bannister said: “We are delighted with these excellent outcomes for our students which reflects their hard work and commitment to their futures.

“More than 100 students from the academy will be progressing to their chosen universities and we wish them the very best as they take the next step in their educational journey.”

Andrew McMurtrie, chairman of the City of London Academies Trust, said: “Congratulations to all the students for achieving outstanding A Level results. Credit must also go to staff at COLA Southwark staff for all their time and effort in supporting our pupils in achieving the very best in their exams.

“We wish each and every student good luck in the next stage of their lives.”
