Southwark life captured in photography exhibition

A photography exhibition capturing the people and places of Southwark and Bermondsey has gone on show to the public.

‘A Portrait of Southwark and Bermondsey’ will show the work of Richard Miller, who won the National Portrait Gallery’s 2016 South of the River photo competition with his shot titled ‘Al’s Café’.

Miller, who moved to Bermondsey Street from Kent in 1988, aims to capture the history of the area and the people living there now in his work.

The exhibition will be available to the public daily from 10am to 6pm until September 1 in the Refectory at Southwark Cathedral, SE1 9DA.
