Get your brew on! Residents plan Macmillan Coffee mornings

Two Macmillan charity socials are set to raise hundreds for the battle against cancer in Walworth and Bermondsey.

The Good Intent pub in East Street will hold a coffee morning tomorrow (Friday) with the aim of raising £1,000. Manager Wendy McDonald and right-hand woman Maria Chilton say all locals will be welcome to pop in from 11am and bring cakes and goodies.

Then on Saturday October 8 an afternoon tea with cake and sandwiches at the Magdalen T&RA Hall in Purbrook Street, SE1 between 2pm and 5pm. Organiser and chair Susan Jefferies told the News they will be holding a Bake Off with games of bingo and a raffle.
