Peckham Festival returns this weekend

Peckham Festival returns this weekend with ‘music, talent, events, workshops, performances and takeovers’ to celebrate the creative corner of south-east London.

Founded in 2016, this year’s festival is the first time its organisers have ran the event as a community interest company, after fundraising to keep the event free.

Acts performing on the festival’s main stage include Chisara, Don’t Problem, Honey Ha’s, Wu-Lu, MC Pinty, Jadasea and Al Dobson Jr.

Holdrons Food Yard will be serving up Caribbean, Asian and traditional British food, which you then work off during the Peckham Festival Fun Run on Sunday morning, at Peckham Rye Park.

There will also be open studios in the Peckham Rye railway arches, and showcases in the Bussey Building, Blenheim arches and across Peckham’s landmarks.

Peckham Festival runs from September 14-16. For more information visit www.peckhamfestival.org
