Irish dancer Maisie crowned U11 champion

Bermondsey Irish dancer Maisie Ryan is on top of the world after being crowned U11 Champion at this year’s 70th anniversary Manchester memorial competition.

Maisie’s success came at this weekend’s competition – called a feis – making it her sixth championship win.

The eleven-year-old, from Deborah Whelan Dance (Dulwich), has also qualified for next year’s World Championships, representing the Southern Region, in the Royal Concert Hall, Glasgow, in March, 2018.

Maisie thanked her teachers Deborah Whelan and Caroline Mcdonald for  their time, effort and support they have given her over the last three years.
