Bermondsey shopping parade gets ‘fantastic’ £22,695 grant

Business owners and shoppers in Southwark Park Road are set for a boost after the Bermondsey Blue BID received a ‘fantastic’ grant of £22,695 from Southwark Council.

The grant will be used to create murals at John Bull Arch and to host workshops and events for local people.

Russell Dryden, chairman of the Blue Bermondsey Business Association, said: “It’s fantastic to see Southwark Council support us in this way.

“Hopefully it will convince other investors to get involved with our campaign to improve the local business environment in the Blue.”
