Two men stabbed in Old Kent Road ‘altercation’ as suspects make off on motorbike

Two men in their twenties were stabbed in an ‘altercation’ on the Old Kent Road this weekend, with the suspects escaping on a motorbike.

Officers say they were called to Old Kent Road at 4.21am in the early hours of Sunday morning to reports of an ‘altercation’.

Police and paramedics found two men, in their 20s, suffering from stab wounds.

But their attackers fled the scene before they could be arrested, with a Met spokesperson confirming:  “The suspects left the scene on a motorcycle prior to police arrival.”

The victims were both taken to a south London hospital with injuries believed to be ‘non-life threatening’.

Witnesses said an area near McDonalds was still cordoned off the following morning.

No arrests have been made and enquiries are continuing.

Anyone with information should call police on 101 quoting CAD 1414/01SEP or Tweet @MetCC.
