Trial date set in murder of Bermondsey’s Rocky Djelal

Two brothers will stand trial at the Old Bailey as a date for the murder case of Rocky Djelal from Bermondsey has been set for May 13.

The 38-year-old was stabbed to death near a children’s playground in Southwark Park on Halloween last year.

Stephen O’Rourke, 46, of Grosvenor Park, Kennington is charged with murdering Rocky Djelal while Jason O’Rourke, 34, is accused of helping his brother.

Jason O’Rourke, of Catford Hill, made a brief appearance in court yesterday and is charged with assisting an offender.

Both brothers are yet to enter pleas.
