Three men arrested after vehicle stop in Camberwell

Three men described as being in their ‘late teens’ were arrested last night in Camberwell after police found weapons in their vehicle.

Police stopped and searched the vehicle at 8.45pm on Tuesday night, at Camberwell Station Road.

The trio were arrested on suspicion of possession of offensive weapons and all remain in custody at a central London police station.

Officers found ‘a number’ of knives and discovered that the vehicle had been stolen.

Enquiries continue.
