Teenager stabbed in Elephand and Castle churchyard

A teenager was stabbed multiple times in the grounds of a church on Tuesday night.

Police were called just after 10.30pm to reports of a stabbing in St Mary’s Churchyard in Newington Butts.

Officers found a boy believed to be in his late teens with multiple stab wounds. The London Ambulance Service was called and the boy was taken to a south London hospital where he remains. No arrests have been made and enquiries continue.

This incident took place yards away from where sixteen-year-old Mohamed Dura Ray was stabbed in Canterbury Place on September 14.
