Teenager stabbed in Bermondsey this evening

A young man was stabbed in the back in Jamaica Road, Bermondsey, this evening.

Police have cordoned off an area around the crime scene, outside the Tesco Express, near the junction with Abbey Street.

The victim was taken to an east London hospital, and an update on his condition is yet to be provided.

The victims, who is in his mid-teens, was found by paramedics at about 5.45pm, who then called the police.

Anyone with information that could help the police is asked to call 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

No arrests have been made an enquiries continue.
