Stolen safe in Borough found in Mint Street Park

Police recovered a “very heavy” safe in Mint Street Park this week, after it was stolen from Great Guildford Street overnight.

The large safe was found hidden away in some bushes in the park, where it had been forced open and abandoned.

Officers took to twitter to tell of their find, writing: “Very heavy item. All that effort and it only had paperwork in. Criminals must have been gutted and very sweaty.”
