Second man charged with Peckham murder of Ernest Kalawa

A second man has been charged with the murder of Ernest Kalawa in Peckham last year.

Derron Campbell, 23, of Southwark, was charged on Wednesday, February 15, with Ernest’s murder on December 30, 2016.

Campbell was due to appear in custody at Camberwell Green Magistrates’ Court today, Thursday.

Previously, Klark Mangal, 21, of Peckham, appeared at the Old Bailey on January 16, 2017, charged with murder. He was remanded to appear at the same court for trial on July 3, 2017.

A 34-year-old man was arrested on Wednesday, January 11, 2017, on suspicion of murder and currently remains on bail pending further inquiries to a date in mid-April.
