Police set up safety cordon after reports of hand grenade on Tooley Street building site

Reports of a “hand grenade” on a Tooley Street building site have led to a safety cordon being set up by police.

Emergency services were called to the Tooley Street junction with Fair Street at 12:37pm.

Police told the News that “specialist officers are investigating and will remove the device for safe disposal.”
