police appeal for witnesses to elderly man being robbed in Camberwell

Police have contacted the News to appeal for witnesses, after an elderly man was robbed in Camberwell.

The robbery took place near a block of flats in Warner Road, shortly before 2pm on Thursday, August 18.

The 82-year-old victim was attacked by a man who stole a shopping bag and wallet from him.

A total of £80 in cash was removed from the wallet, before it was discarded and later discovered by police.
