Police appeal after shooting in Clapham

A man was shot in the leg in Clapham on Tuesday night.

Trident detectives are appealing for information, after the 24-year-old arrived at a south London hospital shortly before 10pm on Tuesday, June 4,  around fifteen minutes after reports of a gunshot in Bedford Road.

Officers at the scene, at the junction with Fenwick Place, initially found no trace of a victim or suspects.

They have now found shell casing but, as yet, there have been no arrests.

The victim’s injuries are said not to be non life-threatening.

Witnesses or anyone with information should call police on 101 or, to give information anonymously, call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
