Third man arrested in connection with assault on heavily pregnant woman in Peckham

A third man has been arrested following a brutal assault on a heavily pregnant woman in Peckham in June, which resulted in her losing her baby.

Police offered a £20,000 reward last month for information leading to an arrest in connection with the attack on 21-year-old Malorie Bantala in Talfourd Place.

A sixteen-year-old boy was arrested today on Thursday October 1 on suspicion of conspiracy to commit GBH and child destruction. He was taken to a south London police station and later bailed to a date in October.

A seventeen-year-old boy was previously charged with child destruction.  Kevin Wilson, 20, of the Longfield Estate, SE1 was charged in June with child destruction and grievous bodily harm with intent.

A trial date has been set for November 30.
