Man rushed to hospital with gunshot wounds after incident in Peckham

A man in his thirties was shot in the leg this morning in a residential street in Peckham.

The Met Police confirmed they were called at 11.57am to Bath Close, off Asylum Road, where they found the victim suffering from multiple injuries.

He was taken to King’s College Hospital A&E where his condition is not yet known.

A police cordon is in place on Asylum Road near the junction with Queen’s Road, with buses and traffic being diverted.

No arrests have been made and no firearm has been recovered. Trident detectives and police in Southwark are investigating.
