Man in “serious condition” after Peckham attack

A man is in a serious condition in hospital today after a violent assault in Peckham.

Police were called to Chadwick Road at around 6.30am to reports of blood found in the street.

A Met spokesperson said: “Officers attended and began an investigation to identify any injured party. A short time later, they found a man in the street suffering a head injury.”

The man was taken to hospital where his condition is described as “serious but stable.”

One man was arrested and is being held in custody at a south London police station.
