Man beaten and stuffed into car near Bermondsey Tube Station

A man was viciously beaten and stuffed into a car in Bermondsey last night, police have said.

Scotland Yard is appealing for help to find the victim – a black man believed to be in his twenties.

The attack reportedly happened at around 7:45pm in Wilson Grove, off Jamaica Road.

CCTV captured the young man being kicked and punched by two suspects who are described as black males, also aged in their twenties.

He was then taken into what was believed to be a grey/silver coloured two door car.

This car was joined by a dark coloured car. Both cars then drove off towards Bevington Street. Each car contained two males, in addition to the victim.

Anyone with information concerning this incident is urged to call Southwark CID on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
