Man arrested in Peckham after reports he had a gun

A man was arrested in Peckham on Sunday afternoon after reports he was allegedly in possession of a firearm.

Police were called at 12.10pm on Sunday, December 2, to a home address on Peckham Rye after reports of someone with a firearm.

The man was arrested on suspicion of firearms offences and taken to a south London police station where he remains in custody.

Cordons were put in place and are in the process of being removed, and officers are still in attendance.

The police told the News a firearm has not yet been recovered.
