A young man was injured in a stabbing incident in Peckham

A man believed to be in his twenties was rushed to hospital this afternoon following a knife fight in Peckham.

Police say they were called to the scene of the fight in Shenley Road at 3.15pm by London Ambulance Service paramedics.

A Met Police spokesman said the man appeared to have received a “slashing injury” to his arm.

However his injuries were not believed to be “life threatening or life changing”.

An eyewitness told the News that paramedics were on the scene looking in bushes, and also working near Peckham Fire Station in Peckham Road.

No arrests have been made and the injured man was taken to a south London hospital.

Anyone with information that could help police with their ongoing enquiries is urged to call 101.
