Appeal to trace victim allegedly glassed during Shad Thames altercation

Detectives are hoping to trace a man who they believe was assaulted in Shad Thames’ All Bar One last Thursday.

Police said the victim had disappeared before officers arrived at the scene and arrested a man on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.

The suspect has now been released under investigation.

Police were called to the pub at around 9.30pm on Tuesday, July 4, to reports a man had been glassed in the bar.

Detective Constable Richard Peregrine from Southwark CID said: “I would urge the victim to speak with us so that we can progress this investigation.

“Eye witnesses stated that he sustained a head injury but we have been unable to confirm whether he has received appropriate medical treatment.

“It is important that we establish that he is okay.”

The victim is described as a tall white man aged in his 30s or 40s of medium build. He is believed to be French.

If you know the victim, call 101 quoting reference Cad 8768/4Jul
