Appeal to find missing skull sculpture launched after it was taken from Guy Street Park

A public appeal has been launched after a sculpture of a skull went missing from the Transmorfism Sculpture Project 2016 in Guy Street Park.

The sculpture was last seen at around 10:30pm on Friday July 1 and was reported as missing at 10:30am the next day.

Austin Emery, an organiser of the exhibition, has urged anyone with information to come forward.

He said: “The loss of this artwork has been reported to the Police and is being treated as a suspected theft. Action taken is focused on the safe return of the sculpture rather than punitive measures.

“Did you see anyone moving or handling any sculptures around the Project Exhibition site at Guy Street Park?

“If you know anything regarding the whereabouts of this sculpture, please contact me directly and anonymously if necessary on 07759 834 652.”
