£10,000 reward offered after man dies at King’s College Hospital following suspected shooting

Police have launched a murder investigation after a man died of a gunshot wound at King’s College Hospital last week.

A reward of £10,000 has been offered for any information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for murdering Ogarra Dixon, of Brixton.

The 24-year-old was brought to the hospital during the early hours of June 17 by three men, who then left. They have since come forward and spoken to police.

A Scotland Yard spokesperson said: “Detectives have established that he was fatally shot in Marcella Road, Brixton, after arriving there alone in his black Vauxhall Astra.

“Ogarra was seen leaving his car and walking towards a nearby block of flats. At 00:25hrs he was seen stumbling away from his car, before collapsing at the junction with Serenaders Road.”

Police believe there was a large group of people near the block of flats at the time and are appealing for people who may have witnessed the attack to come forward.

A spokesperson for Crimestoppers, who are offering the reward, said: “Do the right thing and please tell us what you know. It is vital that whoever is responsible for this crime is brought to justice.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
