Bermondsey pub running charity night for little girl with Down’s Syndrome

A Bermondsey pub is raising money for a Down’s Syndrome charity on behalf of a little girl with the condition.

Two-year-old Sophia, whose grandmother is from the area, has Down’s Syndrome.

The Ancient Foresters pub on Southwark Park Road is running a charity raffle and auctioning off Millwall tickets on Friday evening (November 12) from 8.30pm on behalf of the Down’s Syndrome Association, manager Sandra Smith said.

The Down’s Syndrom Association is a national charity that is “committed to improving quality of life for people with Down’s syndrome, promoting their right to be included on a full and equal basis with others.”
