Caravans get moved from empty BP petrol garage

A security firm has been brought in to guard the vacant BP garage in Peckham Road after a small number of caravans set up camp there last week.

The occupants were moved off the site on Tuesday and metal fences put up around the empty site, with two guards stationed there by Omni Security.

One guard told the News the owner planned to build flats on the land, but no planning application has yet been submitted.
