BREAKING NEWS: ‘Suspicious vehicle’ deemed not suspicious and Westminster Bridge re-opened

Police have just announced that the incident earlier this afternoon at Victoria Embankment ‘has now concluded’.

Police were called at 3.15pm this afternoon after reports of a suspicious vehicle near the Victoria Embankment.

Armed officers were dispatched and Westminster Bridge closed. Buses were diverted and Thames Clippers river bus was not embarking or disembarking at Westminster pier.
