Bola will be much missed in Peckham

We would like to add to the tributes paid to Bola Amole who has died unexpectedly in Nigeria.

We got to know each other in the last few years through Peckham Vision’s work in Peckham Town Centre. Bola’s shop BIMS African Food store is a favourite store for many.

Bola was an energetic enthusiast for improving food quality and safety in Nigeria and in the UK. She also was an active founder of the Rye Lane Traders’ Association (RLTA) and knew the great importance of small independent businesses, traders and residents working together for Peckham town centre. She used to say that she spent so many hours each day in Peckham that it was like living here.

Having business people like Bola in our Peckham town centre is a precious asset. She is much missed by her friends in Peckham Vision, and in many other circles.
