Tenth Bermondsey Street Festival attracts thousands

Thousands of drinkers, dancers and shoppers turned out to the Bermondsey Street Festival on Saturday, in celebration of its tenth year.

The street was closed off to traffic to host an array of stalls, from honey and beer to DVDs and dresses.

Music played a big part in the festival, with dub, afro-beat, folk, ska and soul blaring from the stage in Tanner Street Park.

The Dog Show was sponsored by collar makers and groomers, Holly & Lil, and featured Queenie WoofWoof.

An annual event, the Bermondsey Street Festival is a free, not for profit community event run by volunteers that seeks to develop community understanding and tolerance.
