All invited to Arment’s pie and mash’s 103rd birthday

Arment’s Pie and Mash in Walworth will soon celebrate its 103rd birthday.

Although the iconic cockney staple in Westmoreland Road has its official anniversary on Friday (April 14) the shop will be throwing its celebration on the Saturday.

Co-owner Cheryl Arment said every order over £10 will get a free fruit pie.

Money will also be raised for the Homes4Heroes charity.

The big occasion will be attended by the charity’s co-founders: the Pearly King of Bermondsey, Jimmy Jukes MBE, and the Pearly Queen of Rotherhithe, Michelle Thorpe.
