GALLERY: Open Streets celebration transforms Great Suffolk Street

Residents, business owners and entertainers came together in Great Southwark Street on Saturday for London’s first ever ‘Open Streets’ celebration.

Food stalls, arts and crafts stands, information booths and entertainers lined the street, which was closed to traffic for the special event.

The community celebration was inspired by similar events in South America and organisers hope to introduce the idea to other parts of London soon.
