Fire Brigade to celebrate 150th at Geraldine Mary Harmsworth Park

The London Fire Brigade will celebrate its 150th anniversary with an event at Geraldine Mary Harmsworth Park on Saturday.

The huge family fun day in SE1, from 11am until 5pm, will see live rescue demonstrations from firefighters, fire dogs, fire engines and much more.

There will be a chance to enter a free competition via the LFB Facebook page to win the experience of being ‘rescued’ from a simulated car crash. Safety gear will be provided as a crew works to cut you free from a car wreckage.

Visit www.london-fire.gov.uk/ for more information.
