Bermondsey fire: Grange Walk blaze leaves block of flats damaged

 A fire in a block of flats on Grange Walk in Bermondsey needed 25 firefighters and four fire engines to put out.

The fire, on Thursday November 18, left part of a maisonette on the ground floor of the seven-storey block damaged, although there were no reports of any injuries.

Firefighters were called at 1pm and the fire was under control by 1.30pm. Fire crews from Dockhead, Old Kent Road, Dowgate and Whitechapel fire stations were at the scene.

The cause of the fire is still unknown and the fire brigade is investigating.
